Gadsden State Community College graduates are eligible for one-on-one training in our Driver Finishing Program.
This is a 4-week program that will provide new drivers with the fundamental knowledge and skills to drive safely for BR Williams. New trainees are partnered with a senior BR Williams Driver Trainer and will stay with that trainer for the duration of the program.
Program Details:
- Home Everyday
- Paid the full salary as our current local fleet drivers
- Qualified candidates can fast-track to OTR fleet
- Immediate Full-Time Position after 4-week training completion
- Receive Certificate of Completion and Recognition
After completion, the new driver will become our newest team member for our Local Fleet.

Why did we start the Driver Finishing Program?
BR Williams delivered our first load to Boston in July of 1958. We have built our business around truck drivers throughout our 65 years of transportation. We believe that truck drivers are the heart of America, and we want to do our part in fostering a new generation.
The Road to Success:
BR Williams has developed a training program to help you realize your potential as a driver and put you on the road to success. Here’s what you can expect:
- Day One: Orientation scheduled at your convenience – PAID $ 100
- Day Two: Meet your dedicated trainer and tour of BR Williams – PAID $100
- Day Three: Start riding with your dedicated driver trainer – PAID $ 100
- Four Weeks: Graduation
- Four Weeks and a Day: First Day of Full-Time Employment as a BR Williams Local Driver
Basic Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age
- No more than one moving violation in the last year
- No DUI/DWI or other alcohol-related convictions in the last 7 years
- Have a DOT Medical Certificate and pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Graduate of a qualified trucking school with current CDL
